Brendon Hoffmann
Personal Trainer

Back Strength Lab was created by Brendon Hoffmann, a NASM Certified Personal Trainer who knows firsthand what it feels like to have training derailed by a herniated disc and to carefully build strength again. His own recovery forced him to rethink the way he approached exercise, movement, and strength training. That experience shaped the philosophy behind Back Strength Lab: recovery doesn’t have to mean giving up movement, and getting stronger shouldn’t mean ignoring pain or rushing the process. Today, he combines his personal experience, professional fitness training, and evidence-informed research to help readers better understand injuries, train around setbacks when appropriate, and work toward returning to the activities they enjoy.
